What is the Number One Quality Concern for Plantation Shutters ?

Note The yellow arrow in the picture on the top right where the two shutter panels come together they are called the center stiles.

This is the weakest point on any Shutter . It gets the full affect of the Sun, And the Heat, Doing its best to Dry out, Twist , and Shrink, The center stiles.

Most Shutter companies use the best wood they can and hope for the best. Their's only two shutter companies that I know of that won't settle for that.

One is Norman ,The other is Hunter Douglass, (The catch with Hunter Douglass is they charge twice as much as Norman. )

Both use a costly and time consuming procedure that bonds multiple layers of wood together that create a intensely strong center stile
